Ever have a descusion or argument with someone that was a bit fast witted? After walking away have you ever wished you would have said something, that perfect thing that would have put them in their place and left you feeling proud but the thought came to your head too late? Tell us about your best last words or the ones you wish you would have said.

Oh yes, this has happened far too often. I seem to lose my train of thought when arguing because I'm trying to see the other person's point of view as well. Then, when I sit down and think it all out, something pops up in my mind which I should have mentioned, and I kick myself for not having thought of it before. Of course, it's too late by then because it would only start up the argument again, so I have to try and remember another time, but that time never seems to come, does it? lol Brightest Blessings.

Your so right! A person should keep a "come back" pad near them at all times so we can say just a minute I have an answer for that and be able to look back on what we should have said in other conversations...lol.. Thanks for posting and best wishes:)

Well, I have those thoughts all the time about stuff, not necessarily arguments, or at least, I can't remember any arguments right now, but I remember after walking away one time, I thought of so many clever things I could say to the person I was talking to, not just to be clever but to convey my thoughts in a subtle way. And I wished I could have thought of those clever things before I walked away. Or after I hung up the phone, I thought of some different way I could have answered a question. Those are the times I wished I could just write a letter and give it to the person. There have been times when I have found the right words though...and it was usually quite funny! But I really can't remember any specific instances right now, unfortunately!

Thanks for posting. I know it hard to think of exact conversations. I too have thought about calling a person back and saying you know now that I had time to think about it what I really wanted to say was.......but this just never seems like the right thing to do. Best wishes...
