Have you ever asked for a raise on your salary/wage?

Is there a point in your career that you have to ask for a raise in your salary? Or discuss with your employer about the possibility of increasing your wages?
I am just curious about this because for the life of me, I would be embarrass about asking my employer for a raise. I always think he knows the efforts I do for the job, so it will be up to him to compensate me for it.
Please share your thoughts.

Maybe recently i will ask for a raise in my salary. I just work for only six months. I learn some in this company but not very much. My salary is so little now ,so I want to ask for the raise. I also don't have the experience about this, but my colleagues and I will together do this.
If you try your best to do your job, I think your boss will raise your salary!Good luck!

I did once but i see to it that they are in a good mood before i asked for a raise..and i did it

I sure do hope my employer is in a good mood incase I can gather the courage to ask for a raise. Thanks for the comment.
