What is the Grossest!

Raw Liver *gag* - my brother thought he was pretty funny when he told me to close my eyes for a surprise...he threw a chunk of raw liver into my mouth, the liver was sitting in the sink drain from when mom was preparing dinner.

What is the grossest thing you have ever eaten? I did not actually get as far as eating it ................ I would have to say the chunk of raw beef liver that was sitting in the drain of the kitchen sink until it was tossed into my mouth, courtesy of an older brother.*open your mouth and close your eyes, and you'll be in for a big surprise*other than that I was so thirsty one day last summer and ran into the house and rushed to the fridge, grabbed my jug of water and guzzled - then ran to the sink and threw it up it was not my water after all, but milk. I find milk really gross tasting!Share your gross adventure story with us:)

Have you eaten cooked snake? Cooked monitor lizard? A deliciously cooked dog.. Balut (a boiled fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo... look it up in the internet)? No offense to anybody here.. but I'm just speaking from experience. There are many "gross thing eaten" out there. I'm just sharing what I have eaten so far. I remembered viewing a Fear Factor episode where contestants were made to eat a kind of live wriggly worms.. Now, that's beyond me.. I can't eat those stuff. lol.

we have eaten rattle snake, alligator, squid and turtle. My father tells a story from when he was in greenland. One of his buddies and he went to a diner and his buddy just pointed to whatever on the menu. He said it was so good! he asked the waitress what it was, but she did not understand him, so he said, it go oink oink, it go moo moo, it go baaa baaa. She replied, no, it go bow wow. the buddy couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough!

So, I am curious, were the dogs strays? were they farmed like livestock for this purpose? or were pets stolen? or perhaps do you not keep dogs as pets there?

I envy you.. I haven't sampled eating an alligator yet. :( About the cooked dog thing, it may sound disgusting for some folks here in myLot. But in the Philippines, especially in the rural areas, such thing is a delicacy. Especially to farmers having their afternoon drinking spree from a hard day's work. Growing up in a rural area here in the Philippines, one can't help as a teenager back then to sample what the older folks are eating. I don't do it anymore though. Not that I regret it, but I began to realize that eating those poor dogs (man's best friend at that) does not feel "right" anymore. No eating dogs for me now. No sir! Thanks, but I'll pass.

I am pretty careful with what I put unto my mouth and I wouldn't want to see myself throwing up after eating a handful of stuffs...well, am not so sure if you know the food "balut" that is very popular here in the Philippines, that's a cooked duck egg..some are 16 days old, 17 days old, and some even like more the 18 days old..where you can see the hairs of the baby duck inside... I love eating that though and never regretted I learned eating baluts from my friend.. but some people I know do label this thingy as "gross"..well, I just let it be...we have different taste buds anyways..and as far as am concerned baluts are pretty delicious..lol

The worst thing that I have ever eaten was eel. I wasn't told what it was. It was served to me along with my scrambled eggs and toast. The day before, I was given sausages, so I assumed I was getting the same thing. Oh to my surprise. I popped a piece in my mouth, bit down, and there was an explosion of grease. That has to be the worst thing I have ever eaten. Needless to say, I didn't finish the eel!!

oh that sounds awful! my husband ordered eel on a cruise vacation we took, and the way it was prepared I guess, it was very good..but it did not at all resemble sausage, nor was it greasy. What you described does not sound at all appetizing. yuck.

It was at our aunts house. Me and my sister stayed there for a week during that summer , i think i was 15 years old or so. They served cod liver with potatoes for dinner. The father in the house kept going on how delicious it was, i saw my sister really struggling with it while all the others eating it like it was a juicy beef. So i pretended it was. I told myself i was eating steak. Put the piece in my mouth and felt like vomiting. But i managed to swallow it. I ate all my potatoes and told them i was full. It was ok. To this day i hardly ever eat fish unless it is processed in any way.. That liver taste will haunt me for the rest of my life.

ew, I had to take the cod liver oil as a child for medicinal reasons (actually I think Mom just needed someone to take it so she could get rid of it!) if the cod liver tastes anything like the oil they derive from it, I gotta hand it to you for making yourself eat it.

Beets!! I really hate them. I gagged and gagged. I won't even buy them to have them in my house.
