what is the meaning of ASAP??

I first heard this expression when I was working in a hospital back in the early 60s It was out on lab orders and always had ASAP. It meant so do the lab orders AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

there are two meaning for that. One is as soon as possible and two is always say a prayer. =)
