What do you feel about insurance agents?

Friend, I was an insurance agent and I have trained several very good ones too. If we are bored and annoying.. What are we, when we present a claim cheque to a widow, or a disabled individual. We are the only one who give a widow a cheque while others come with bills Insurance agents are great service provider, cheers to all insurance agents out there

Dear mdarma.. =) Please don't get me wrong on this.. I have had a couple interviews with insurance companies lately.. I am considering about becoming an insurance agent, but since this area is totally new for me, I want to know what people in general think about them.. I want to know the prospects of this job if I were to take it, you know.. =) Thanks for sharing your opinions and experiences.. I really appreciate it.. =) I have heard that story from my interviewee as well... That insurance agents help people.. But how many are actually really trying to help, and how many are just looking for people and trying to chase for commissions for selling to them? Once again, I am not trying to insult insurance agents in any ways.. This is a pure curiosity from a person who is offered an opportunity to become an insurance agent but still skeptical about the job itself.. =) Thanks.. =)

some are annoying especially those that are trying their very best to make a deal/sale..but i dont blame them its their job anyway

Yeah..that's true.. I was always annoyed by sales people.. I take them easier now because I know that they are just trying to do their job..to match their target or something.. So, no worries.. Some people have to do it anyways.. Thanks for sharing.. =)
