I'm an air force wife and I haven't had to go through that husband and I have an ocean between us yet and I am wondering, how bad is it? Do you get use to it as easy as they say?

Mine was sent overseas to Korea when my oldest was 1 1/2 and that is a year duty!! It was horrible, If i hadnt had my son i would have gone nuts, now 2 kids later, ages 5 and 1 1/2 we are due in Sept well he leaves in May for four months to iraq. he may miss the birth of our 3rd child. very upset by this but it could be worse, I dont think it ever gets easier. Just gotta keep going, take one day at a time.

im a military wife. but my husband isnt over seas right now. he has been though. I hate to say this but it does get easier, you start to get use to it.. until he says hes comming home. and then it seems like forever!!

Thanks for sharing, right now my husband is only gone monday through friday and comes home for the weekend. He calls constantly on the cell phone so it really doesn't seem like he's gone much. The longest he has ever been away is 6 months for training, but he was always able to call, except boot camp of course.
