Do you hate being the bearer of bad news?

At work whenever someone has to come in early or cover a shift, guess who's the bearer of the news? Or when someone calls and wants to know where the spouse is, in jail.. guess who? Your car was towed due to a snow emergency, guess who?? Does anyone else absolutely hate having to be the bearer of bad news???

that stinks. I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, it makes me so uncomfortable. Some people love it though, you can just tell they're getting a kick out of making other people feel bad.

On one hand, I hate being the bearer of bad news. On the other hand, I know no one else is going to deliver the news as kindly as I will attempt to. I have seen so many people take joy in spilling the bad news they have, and that sickens me.

that sickens me too.. I hate having to be the bearer of bad news, but I'd rather do it tactfully then how someone else might do it.
