I use to raise birds, I have had finchs, grays, cockatoos, cockatiels, conures, mccaws, amazons. I miss them but they really gave me allergy problems and I could not keep them. What kind of birds do you or did you own?

We've had canaries and parakeets. Our house is really drafty so they always looked a bit miserable and I felt sorry for them in the winter.

I used to have to cover mine with towels and blankets. It can get drafty in the winter.

Hi! I have doves (white and ringnecks), parakeets, cockatiels, and a sun conure. I have up to 50 birds at one time. We have 27 right now. The doves are outside and the others are in the house. I love to wake up to the sound of the doves cooing and the others making their bird noises. Just wonderful!

I currently have a sun conure, named Malibu.. Malibu was hatched Dec. 14, 2006 and is a ball of fun.. My pic that you see is Malibu... If I had more room, I would love to have another bird or two. But, living in an apartment seems to make things tight..

I currently own poultry, chickens, guineas and a duck. When I was young, I had parakeets and a cockateil. Once I became an adult and got married I bought myself a quaker parrot who hated my husband and would poop on his shoes whenever he got near.

lol too funny. I have never had poultry. I wanted some of those silkie chickens....but I live in the city. I have had cockatiels they are sweet little birds. I have also had quakers. Now those birds can holler or screech when they want to. I had a senegal parrot named cootie ;) and he hated my hubby. He would bite the blood out of him every time he got the chance..... I miss that little guy...My hubby actually liked him too.

Currently I have one love bird and and my sister has a Cac. A Cac is like a miny parrot, not sure if I'm spelling it right though. We used to have cockatiels too. We also had a large white bird with beautiful head feathers. The breed escapes me but she was a beautiful bird.

I know what you're talking about. I believe you mean caïque. They are really funny little birds.

Growing up I had budgies. i had two at different times. One blue that would bite people on my command, and one white and yellow that was really cheerful and happy. My sister had three green ones. One that was not tame at all and flew away, one really funny one, and one that was 100% tame. The last one could talk as well - greek and norwegian. I love birds. They are easier to keep than most other pets, and do not make a big mess around them.
