How often do you do laundry?

Do you have a set day of the week that is designated for laundry day? Or do you just do laundry when you are noticing that you're running out of clothes? I try to do laundry on Fridays, but if it isn't needed I wait until we need certain clothes and then I do all of it. It just depends!

LOL yeah I feel your pain! I hate doing laundry, too! I didn't mind it right at first, but now I'm sick of it! lol...and it will only get worse when my husband and I have kids! Thank you for your response!

I do at least 2 loads every day. It's been ages since I could only do it once a week. I think that was when we had to go to the laundromat and had enough clothes for that long. It's so much easier to just do it as they get dirty.

I agree, it is easier to do it just when the laundry basket is full, but at the same time it works for me to commit to a certain day that I HAVE to do it, no excuses. Thanks for your response!

I wash my laundries every weekends, that's my only available time to do it so. It's a tiring process but I have to finish it in less than a day, and I'm thankful that summer is already here. I don't have to worry drying up the clothes, and it helps me conserve more energy when I'm using the dryer!;)

I usually try to do a load every day or at least every other day but it doesn't always work out but with there being five of us here it can mount up pretty fast. The worst times are usually when the girls tidy their room as hey always seem to find a mountain of stuff that needs washing, sometimes I think they save it up just so that I have to spend a day or 2 doing nothing but washing trying to get it all done lol.

Wow! I can imagine how fast that must pile up with five people! I have spent three days doing laundry before (but that's only because you have to run the dryer four or five times before the clothes get dry!) Thanks for your response!

I tend to do laundry whenever the laundry basket is full I tend to stay on top of it that way but myself and my wife don't generate loads between us, I supppose there's more to do if you have children, I know my sister does loads for her family!

That is a good way to do it. I try to do mine in one day but sometimes I can't get it all done, and I have to do it the next day. Thanks for responding!

I usually do a load or two whenever the basket in the bathroom fills up. There is no specific day designated for just laundry. You do whatever needs to be done when it is required.

I usually do laundry during weekends, or when I have no work. It's just because during working days, I'm tired to do all the housework, and I actually hang my clothes under the hot sun for them to get dried. So, I can only do this when I'm not working.

I can definitely see how you wouldn't feel like it on working days. When I was working, I just wanted to come home and be lazy! You're lucky you can let them air dry. I bet that saves a lot of energy! :)

So honestly I probably do it daily-- Ironing, washing, drying! YUK..

Before we got a maid, I helped my mom a little when she did the laundry, usually we had it on weekends when we didn't have to go to school and could somehow help a bit.. :P but nowadays, our maid just do the laundry when she sees piles of dirty clothes on the laundry basket... she's pretty responsible coz we need not bug her to do the laundry, she just think things on her own.

I usually do a load of laundry eery day. Sometimes it is much more than one load, but for the most part it is one load. I have two kids and one is always outside so we have a lot of laundry. I can't imagine just doing it one day per week. I know I do laundry more than 24 hours a week. Matter of fact, I have 2 loads done now that need folding so I guess I better get them and at least get them by the computer desk so I can fold them as I am on here working.

Wow! I can't wait to have kids, lol :) Right now it's me and my husband, so we can get by with laundry once a week. But I can definitely see how your laundry loads will expand exponentially as your family grows! Thanks for your response!

I do mine once a week, on my day off. My days off vary from one week to the next, so I don't do them the same day each week. I also try to get it done early in the morning to get it out of the way. I've tried the "laudry-as-needed" method but as the piles get bigger & bigger my resolve to get it done gets smaller and smaller.

well well, i don`t do the laundry first of all but i assists my wife doing it. isn`t that great! i feel it exciting to asist do the laundry with my wife! at first we have saturdays and sundays for it. we have a 2 day sched for it bcoz we have 7 children. later we ran out of budget comes the laundry day which promt us to do it whenever cash for materials are available. my wife just make it sure we don`t run out of clean clothes by buying extras. we have plenty of clothes to wash of course!

Aww that is great! That's so cool that you help your wife with the laundry. My husband is at work all day when I'm home, so I usually end up doing it by myself. Otherwise we're spending the little time we do have together in the evenings doing chores (which isn't very fun!). Thanks for your response!

Actually, I have seven children and it is hard to NOT do laundry everyday. But most often, I will do a load or two every other day. If I wait more than a few days...forget it! LOL It will look like the dirty clothes hamper puked! ha ha

Wow, seven kids! That is a lot of laundry!! I am not surprised that you might do it every other day!! I bet it starts to get pretty ugly and hard to clean up once the dirty clothes hamper has started to puke!! :)

We do it on Saturday late evenings now. I say late beacuse that's the time that we have the neighborhood laundry shop by ourselves :p Before we do it on Sunday nights but because we have work the following day, we usually get too lazy to do it. So now we have a fixed Saturday-latenights-exclusive-for-laundry day! :p

i do my laundry very weekend. since im working, my pile just gets bigger everyday because we change uniform everyday. its a good thing that i dont have to hand wash my laundry and we have a machine with spin drier. that way i could just hang up my clothes indoors and they'll be dry when i wake up the next day.

I usually do laundry on Sat. or Sun. I hate klaundry, and try to do it all at once. I do it on the weekend because I work 40-50 hours during the week.
