i have to get a SR22 ins.policy to get my licence back is there any way around this?

i say u just do it and get ur license back theres no harm in doing it.

There really isn't any way around it...you have to get it.

Unfortunately, no. SR22's have to be carried continuously if they are required in order to maintain your license. Even if you don't own a vehicle or even have one tagged, you will STILL have to carry insurance on your license in order to be able to keep it. Different states require different things though. In Virginia, if you are caught with no insurance, you are required to pay a $500 reinstatement fee to the DMV and ALSO provide proof of insurance with SR22. If you drop the insurance for whatever reason (not paying the premium, etc), the insurance company notifies the DMV IMMEDIATELY. For no insurance in Virginia, you are required to carry the S$22 for 3 years. SR22 insurance is usually more expensive as well.
