Potty Training Advice....

Ok, so my son is 2.5 years old and I have been activley trying to get him to use the potty until now with no sucess. Since this morning, he has not had a diaper on and has used the potty 2 times with no accidents. (No diaper for 6 hours or so) So I am so excited that we are getting a good start. He seems to be getting it..and I think I can continue on with the training since he actually went in the potty and understands it. So here are a couple of questions that I would love some input to. First, do I continue putting a diaper on him at night and nap until he masters the potty thro the day? AND What do I do when we are out? He WILL NOT sit on a regular sized toilet and is absolutley scared of it...so I dont want to force it. Do I carry the potty with me everywhere I go? HA HA Sounds stupid...BUT are there any other options. Thanks in advance:)
