Yes Madhu!!! U have posted a very interesting topic. Thats true indeed... Gals r more attached to their Dads, n guys r more attached to their Moms... Although i love both of them equally, still i'm more attached to my Mom... Coz the reason behind this i hve noticed is that, my Dad is not here in India. He Stays abroad.. He comes here after every six months... And moreover my mom is a homemaker.. She always takes care of me, n moreover she is loving in nature.. So i'm more comfortable with her rather than my Dad, as he is more strict... :-) But anyways... i love both of them equally and respect them the most...

For me it is my mom. They divorced when I was young so she was both mother and father. I have always been closer to her. Even today, she is my favorite girl!

a lot of people around me have said i'm a daddy's girl. i guess it is somehow true. even my siblings say i'm my dad's favorite. i don't believe that's true. it's just that my dad and i share some things in common. we have same interests. the bond i have with my mom is different my that with my dad. i am close to them both. i love them equally.

I love my mom more since I grew up with my dad working somewhere else. I think that you get attatched to the parent who better relates with you, not and it doesn't depend on your gender.

its natural that guys like mothers more than fathers while girls like father more than mother. but i like both of them, i respect them equally, i can do anything for them as they are just god to me, who made me achieve so much in my life. Who i know that they are standing at my back to support me and protect me from any harm. I would like to fulfil all the dreams of my parents that is first and formost aim of my life. what ever i get if i give them then also it is very less from what they had done for me. so atlast i would like to this that i love both my parents equally and can never differentiate between them.

I am more connected to my dad but it wasnt always that way. this has occured just in the past few years. Now that i myself am a mom i see too many of my own moms faults and as a result of that we are no longer as close as we once were. My parents were divorced when i was 10 and i lived with my mom so we were very close when i was growing up but when it came time for me to grow up and move out and start my own life things changed. My dad was the one that stepped up to the plate and would help me and talk to me or just listen if i needed him to. I dont know if gals being attached to their dads...etc. is the "norm" or the standard now-a-days but its the way things are in my case.

I guess it all depends on the enviroment the person was brought up in. For me i do feel closer to my mum as well. Guess that because dad is the sole breadwinner. And thus i don't always get to see him often so that explains why we are not that close. But if not for the both of them, i would never have been possbile to be even here to type. But it is hard to like both of them equally. Guess that applies to the lifes of everyone. Even though for example, teachers are suppose to treat each and everyone of the students equally, but how is it possible not to bias to a person which has a much better attitude towards his study. So i guess as human, we can never reach a stage of equality. Thus i find it normal for people to feel closer to either their mum or dad. However if they do feel just as close to both of them, i would like to they must be very fortunate to live in such a family as i never will.
