How often do you change your beddings or bed sheets at home?

My sister and I are living in the same apartment and in the same room. ANd we are very particular in our beddings. We usually change our beddings twice a month. We want it to be that neat and clean. I actually got this habit from her. She looks at cleanliness a lot. She hates bed bugs and all sorts of insects in our room. How about you?:)

I make sure I change mine once a week. I watched from one episode of the Oprah Show that this is the ideal frequency. It used to be once a month or till it feels really dirty... but after I watched the show, I do it once a week now. I converted my whole family to this frequency too.
In fact the cleanliness freak in me feels like changing it even more frequent now. :P

We used to change our beddings once in a week before but since we needed to conserve water this time, that's why we just change it every 2 weeks. It's just so heavy to wash these big sheets because we don't have any washing machines to wash our clothes. We only use both hands and if we go to laundry shop, it costs a lot. :)

Growing up our mother changed bed linens 1 to 2 times a week. but, I did not catch on to her habit, ours are washed 2-3 times a month. I know of people, though, that change out their linens on a daily basis. I figure we go to bed clean (having just showered the daily grime off) that our sheets will not get soiled so very quickly.
