GSE Helps Colds

I gave my dd GSE (grapefruit seed extract) when she started coming down with an awful cough. She was hoarse for about a day and a half, but her coughing stopped. My other dd started to get the same illness but she refused to take the GSE. She has fever,coughing, sore throat and her chest hurts. She's been sick for four days!
I catch everything that comes within five miles of me! I started taking GSE as a preventative. I haven't so much as a sniffle! What homeopathic cold remedies do you have?

my daughter is almost 2 years old. i have given her echinacea drops since birth and i cant name one instance where she really got sick. sometimes, a cough for a day or tonsils when teething, but as to yet, nothing that had to be treated by a doctor. i was really impressed as no one has told me about this before her birth. i was constantly sick while pregnant. my daughter is in a pre school and have been since she was 6 months, and in all this time, she havent had anything that the other kids had had. not even diaree or colds, or chickenpox. me thinks its all thanx to the echinacea. it builds up the immune system.

i use the one that says pure echinacea. the name is echinaforce and vendor Dr A Vogel. the pharmacist and the clinic sister said it was safe as it is only a concentration of vitamins. the drops get absorbed quicker than the pills so i never buy the pills. i give the drops in her bottle with regular milk and 2 scoops of hot choclate. dims the strange taste. never give it as it is. children dont like the taste. mix it with lukewarm of cold liquid. look forward to many healthy years. we have been using it and we get payback from the medical aid yearly because we never use our day to day benefits anymore. only been to the doc twice for rootcanal.
