I just won a $600 laptop.Has anyone else ever won any contests?

I got up this morning and checked my e-mail.I got an e-mail from where I work.I opened it because I thought that I made another sale.But instead,I was notified that I won 4th prize in a referral contest.I just sent my info.to them and it is being shipped a.s.a.p.I don't even have to pay for shipping.I guess I will take my laptop in bed with me a night so I can be on Mylot longer.I am interesed in hearing other stories of those who hav won anything.

Congratulations Cipher2004! It's such a rare and at the same time a risky thing. It's rare because there's only few people who can won a laptop in a contest and it's also risky because you never know if it's true or not. Well, i've got lots of questions for you. First is, how did you know it was real? Is it really true that there are no hidden charges? Remember, offers are deceiving. Thus, one should evaluate the pro's and the con's of certain offers. You can go online and research, or ask some friends who have tried the offer.
Next question is, what information did you give them? Have you given them any security information? It's just so risky to do it. It's indeed a wonderful offer, but just see to it that their offers are real. :)

I won this from a site I work at.I am in an affiliate program.I have been paid over $1000 from them so far.It was a referral contest.I came in 4th place.It wasn't an offer that I had to sign up for.The only info. that I had to give them was my name and address.They already had that info.since I have been recieving my pay from them.Thank you for the concern,I would never give any info.out over the net in fear of a security problem.I had a friend who did some offers to get a $500 gift card.She had to complete 2 offers to get it.In the long run she had a problem cancelling the offeres she signed up for.She adventually had to close her bank account!

Congratulations cipher2004. A $600 laptop is a very good prize! Yes having a laptop sometimes is better than a desktop because it's lighter and you can take it with you to bed or to any other place in the house or outside.
I don't understand this referral contest thing. Could you please tell me how you did it? Thank you cipher2004.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.I haven't been on here much.Anyway I promoted a site link for people to sign up under me.I work at this site promoting programs for them.I used traffic exchanges etc. to promote.It was alot of work but it was worth it.

Sorry it took me so long to respond.It is from the place I promote online.It is on my web,it is the first banner.It was free to join.We are not supposed to provide links.They do not do a referral contest anymore,now they havew one for the most sales.

Thank you.I was so excited this morning.Now I wait for it to come in then I have to take 3 pictures with it and call them and leave a comment on how I won.I might be a movie star on the site soon!LOL!

Wow, that is really great! That would be awesome to win such a prize as you did! I have never won any contests. I think the only ones I ever really entered were drawings at stores where they give grocery certificates. I have'nt won any though. Well, you know, I do remember winning something! I signed up at home depot for a drawing and won a grill a few months back. We went to this kids workshop thing and they were doing drawings for the grownups. My husband was the most excited because he's the one using it, lol. So I guess I have! I would love to be able to win a contest with thousands of dollars as the prize, but who knows, maybe one day I'll be lucky!

Good congrats on the grill.I love cooking on the grill.I try the grocery store ones also.But no luck so far.It was alot of work to win the laptop.But it was worth it.

Thank you.I don't think it was too much luck.This referral contest ran for 1 month,so I sat on the computer a awful lot.It was alot of work.Alot of good people helped me to win.Especailly those here on mylot.They signed up as referrals.I enter regular contests also and have never won anything big.

Wow! Way to go! Congrats! I've never won anything BIG off the internet-- I have won candy bars, shirts, etc. I did win $500 cash from a drawing a friend was selling tickets too- I was so suprised! It was right around Christmas! So extra Christmas presents for everyone!
I enter alot of contests online-- I used to anyways-- Never won the BIG one yet! But I'll keep trying- I love to hear about other peoples wins too!

I enter contest sometimes also online.I go to the forums on volition.com.People post contest there,they have alot of instant wins.I won a stuffed Oscar Myer Hotdog on wheels.My dog ate in 1 day flat.

I don't usually try to win referral contest that much.But I really wanted a prize.The had 1st to 10th place so I thought I might have a chance.
