is it safe to store files at yahoo.com

my friends sends files thru my email. I left it unerased for more than a year now. Since yahoo offers huge amount of space, Is it safe to let files be archived to my yahoo mail instead of erasing it?

Actually yes I have some files there attached as emails, but I saved all the files so if Yahoo erased them I will be OK. all of these files are mostly nothing, but the important ones are password-locked so I don't worry about them. I can't really say if it's safe or not though since I got spam mail saying it's from yahoo but it's not so there is always possibility that your files are not safe to be kept there
