Gala History Metro DC PFLAG is the largest chapter in the world and a leader in programs and activities for other chapters around the world. Our Annual Honors Gala has helped define us as a global and community leader. 10 years ago, two loyal PFLAG members envisioned a special celebration that was not only a fundraiser but would also be a way to affirm our families. In 1998, the first Honors Gala hosted about 300 supporters. In 2006, nearly 800 guests attended; attendance in 2007 is expected to be at capacity. Tickets are selling quickly.
