What was/is your favorite vehicle to drive?

Mine was the first vehicle I purchased, an Isuzu Amigo (which I still own) in 1990. Isuzu imported them as trucks, although when the top was on, it was fully enclosed like a car or SUV. It was only the third year they were produced and that little truck took a beating from me, although the mileage is low compared to others of that model year (boy were they fun to drive!) I drove it almost constantly from October 92 until December 2001 (a few years off because of a blown head gasket) and I was devastated when I had to stop driving (because of my shoulder, not because of engine problems). It still runs too--we put some gas in it last year and fired up the engine.

My first was a VW Beatle nad my, and my third BUT my fourth was a BMW and I adored that car. It was lemon colored, not yellow, with black leather interior.

What series BMW? And the color sounds divine! I bet the seats were hot though in the sun (ouch!)

I can't have just one favourite .. my first vehicle was a 750cc motorbike with side car .. this was followed by several motorbikes including a kneeler outfit race bike that I raced with my ex husband .. Now and then I drove a D8 Caterpillar in Africa which was the greatest fun ever ... and also in Africa I had the use of a beach buggy which I rather carelessly drove into the ocean late one evening when partying hard .. Moving on to cars I loved my old Triumph Spitfire Mk3 even if it was falling apart and broke down a lot .. was lucky enough to have boyfriends with Aston Martins, Ferrari's and Lambo's .. And now I drive 'sensible' vehicles with space for my disability scooter to fit in the back .. sigh ... But I've always longed for a De Tomaso Pantera GT5 .. but never driven one (only a De Tomaso saloon) ..

Very nice...I'm jealous! I just bought a Suzuki XL5 SUV yesterday (my wiper arm wasn't working and I needed it to drive!)....I'm so excited! But your vehicles sound really cool--I've never heard of a De Tomaso Pantera GT5...can you post a pic of it?

i think that my favorite vehicle that i've driven was my mothers Lincoln Mark VIII. It was so fast (had excellent pickup speeds) and handled VERY well. I have a little bit of a heavy foot so I had so much fun in that car. And not only was it fast... but it had so many different amenities in the car (like heated seats, nice stereo, it memorized your seating position, etc)

Wow, did you get a lot of speeding tickets? I loved the cars my dad bought my mom--a Mustang, some sort of Buick (I was with her the day it got hit), her little LeBaron convertible...you know, cars with some kick to them!

I like to drive my car. I have a Peugeot 206 and I think it's one of the best cars of the world.

I love pickup trucks. If I could only have one vehicle it would be a truck. I don't have to drive a lot so that helps with the gas problem thank goodness. You would be supprised how handy a truck is once you've owned one and how popular you suddenly become with everyone around you wanting to barrow it. lol

Yes....and my friends tend to be stingy with theirs (true pickups, mine was more of a SUV). I grew up with my dad having crew cabs (or super cabs) since 82 or 83 and pick ups before that all my life (he even had a 1963 cadillac flower car!)
