I was raised as a Christian... I fell in love with a Sikh....I respect my partners religion and share his beliefs... he encourages me to pray to his gods and I do whole heartedly but I feel terribly guilty about Jesus.... I love jesus and I dont want to give him up...I dont kno if I should just continue or maybe I could pray to both??? Im sooooooo confused... it makes me so upset sometimes

I believe you really love your husband, but your love for him should not exceed your love for Jesus. I discourage you praying to your husband's gods. One cannot serve with two lords; God is a jealous God. If you decided to tell your husband that you wouldn't pray to his God, say it in a nicer way to avoid arguments.

Pray to the god you believe in. If you were raised as a Chrisian and truly accepted Jesus as your personal savior, you wouldn't be confused if you had been living that faith. You say you share your partner's beliefs, but if that is true, you wouldn't feel guilty about about Jesus. Are you trying to please him by accepting his faith? Religious faith is not a badminton ball to be tossed back and forth depending on your mood. Faith is serious business and needs to be treated as such. Which religion meets your needs? What are the similarities between the two and what are the major differences? Study each religion until you know which one is right for you, then give it all you've got. A half-hearted faith is no faith and you would be better off not choosing either one. If you choose Christianity, you can still respect your partner's choice in his faith. If you choose his faith only to please him or just to avoid making waves, you are not honoring either him or his faith. I hope you are not offended by my sternness on this. Please, for both your sakes, consider very seriously, make your choice and commit to it. You are betting your potential eternal life on this.

Gods? you mean angels and demons man mistake as Gods? Thou shalt have no other Gods before me saith the lord. SO why do we pray to Jesus? the bible shows us why and how. Corintians says Jesus is the first born of all creation, for through him by him and for him all was created. Genesis says in the begining there was the word and it bacame flesh (Jesus) Jesus was here long befor ehe came to set the captives free. In fact the bible shows it on several occasion, soddom and gamor, the garden or eden, the tower of babel are 3 examples. You feel guilty because you know its wrong that you pray to false gods, and thats why the Bible tells you not to yoke yoursefl with unbelievers, and many times told people not to marry pollythiests for they will corrupt you into praying to there false gods and idols. You need to stop and look around you, re assess your relashonship with your ONE and ONLY creator and father. Jesus says plainly "I am the way THE ONLY WAY, no one shall come unto the father but BY ME" DO you think your husbands false gods will bring you slavation? NOI they will destroy you and your relashonship with your ONE and ONLY creator and God. I hope you find your way, God bless.
