This isnt a question just a celebration! I thought I'd tell everyone I finally got a REAL JOB! If you dont know I have been looking for 3 months. I begin March 26th working part time at a local Barnes & Noble which rocks!
I worked at B&N before for 4 years and kinda missed it. Been waiting for a spot to open up and it finally did!
I'll try to MyLot as much as I can but might be a little less each day. Hurray though for me. REAL JOB! :))

WONDERFUL news. I was feel SO sad cause both me and my sister were looking for jobs. She got hired at Starbucks (job she wanted and I also tried for but didnt get) 2 weeks ago today. In the mean time B&N kept telling me they couldnt fit me in, check back. On Monday before I knew I was hired, the other B&N which is farther away by 25 mint (this one is about 10 mint) set up an interview that I cancelled yesterday. I'm too happy. Not real till I begin though.

I loved the job before our store closed in July of 2004. I am sure I will love this too. I love working with books! Been wanting this job again since December so yeah long time coming.

ONE week from today I will have completed my first day. Yeah I am excited! But nervous too. Seeing I havent worked in almost 3 months! And at retail longer than that! But I am sure it will be fine, this is the job for me. I am sure it will be a blast! :))

A piece of me is nervous but the other is excited. I worked hard to get this lots of prayer and planning and patience. I didnt get any other jobs I tried for (and I had interviews too!) so I KNEW this was the job just not when. I was just waiting for it to happen. thanx for the well reguards, I cant wait to get started again!

You work at one of my favorite stores! I'm jealous. How much of an employee discount do you get? LOL I'm happy for you. It's always a relief when something you have been working towards finally materializes.

Congratulations, it's always a wonderful feeling when your searching to finally get that job, and especially one that you really want. I will be wishing you the best and hope that you will still pop in as often as you can. This is just a place to have fun and earn a few dollars it's by no means a job here in the states, LOL! :)

I know what you mean. I was using this site to make a little money and kill time. I will come on I PROMISE! Just not like all the time or not as much. I'm sure I can fit in an hour a day or something like that. Its a part time job cause I am in school 4 classes too. heehee. thanx again!

Thank you. I am sure it will make me happy. I loved working with books and people! I still intend to write my memoir about my first book job and maybe this job will bring back more memories I cant still recall!
