Which is more safer???riding on a plane or riding on the ship?or both?

i was just curious 'bout this...im a person whose afraid of riding on a ship, coz i feel uncomfortableand dizzy. it tried it once this just because part of the curriculum when i was in college!but never will i try it again!!for me i'd rather ride on the plane!!!but on your own which do you think is much safer?plane or ship?or both????
