My dog jumps during the whole walk!!

It is pretty embarassing to take my Rat Terrier for a walk. Her name is Daisy Mae, and I can't seem to get her to walk for a minute. She runs forward to the end of the leash...crouches, and then jumps 2 feet off the ground...Again, again, and again. It's funny for the 1st half mile, then embarassing, then frustrating. The whole time she is yelping out like a chimp. Sounds like a circus side show coming down the street. Any ideas how I can get her to stop this???

If that is the case you should be a little strict to your dog. Do scold her a little everytime that she does her thing. You can hit her a little, enough for her to feel that you don't want what she does. Be sure that you get her attention when doing this. If she behaves, give her a little treat so that she recognizes the good that she does. And oh, do practice it at home first if you have a small backyard.
