What was your wedding budget?

I am thinking of having a 75k budget on my wedding. Less than 100 people in a beach area, but not on the beach, and a small reception and dance, no alcohol. What do you think?

Depends where you are from and how much that 75k in your country means. If you are from Indonesia then 75 thousand rupiah's isn't even 10 US dollars or 5 pounds sterling... haha. 75k is too much to spend on any wedding. If it is either dollars or pounds (which I hope it ain't pounds coz that's ridiculous! haha) then I would suggest spending 1/10 of that amount and giving the rest to starving children around the world! haha. We had a really glamorous wedding in Jakarta and it was pretty cheap. I proposed in Bali too, and that was pretty cheap also (because it's a cheap part of the world, but still very nice!). We spent no more than 2k pounds sterling (4k us dollars), and we had 500 people at our reception, and the ceremony consisting of 11 separate events over 2 months... it was the longest wedding ever! (that's just the proper culture thing the way that Batak people do things). But it was really really beautiful, and a very high class wedding too. I will post pics on my profile so that you can see! Most of all... enjoy your marriage, and enjoy your partner and all the great times ahead. I wish you all the best for your future together. Love and light to you and your family.

Holy cow, you must be joking. That's a steal for that many people. But it would be too much to have everyone flown over to jakarta! be nice though!

I think that should be way more than enough, unless you're planning to put up your guests in an expensive hotel room and pay for flights, etc. Our wedding cost about 500 bucks per head for the food/entertainment. But renting the hall, and renting chairs, and pictures, cost close to 40K. So 50K total, including dress, tuxes, etc. And we only put up a few out of town family guests, but nobody else. We also had something like 215 people (I think) that came. Are you planning to have it in california? By the way, i think it's "mum's the word".
