Battlestar Galactica

I used to watch the original series when I was just five, but now remember only small bits and pieces, -more than twenty years have passed-, so I didn't pass the chance to view the renewed version last night on TV. The space looks brilliant, it really gives the feeling mankind has advanced, building all those fancy starships. But ironically they must be lagging heavily behind, they are still using paper for documents?! And wearing ties? In a spaceship? What are your opinions?

i actually resisted watching the new series, because i was a big fan of the original, and i kind of didn't like what i was seeing of the new one. oh boy was i wrong. and in a big way. this is absolutely one of my favorite tv shows to date. it's has killer effects and even better stories. even if they're supposed to be an alien race with sci-fi technology, the stories and character are so human, close to heart, and down to earth.
they actually have to use low tech coz anything higher would be vulnerable to cylon invasion virus.
