as always i want to let my mother know just how much i appreciate her on this special day, she means everything to me and without her i would never have made it to where i am today. however this year i am a bit strapped for cash so i decided to buy her a plain glass vase and to decorate it myself using glass paint which i already own, well my partner laughed at me and said that this was something a child done for a parent at school, he has gone for the usual chocolates and flowers option, well he was very wrong my vase has come out lovely and it didnt cost me much money about £5.00 all together and only a few hours of my time i am more than sure my mum will love it. have you ever made a gift for mothers day if so did it go down well and did you really save any cash in the long run.

I think the vase you made sounds lovely. I know that I much prefer gifts that my children have made for me to ones that they have purchased at the store. When they make me something , it's from the heart. When they buy me something from the store, they will usually just grab the first thing that says "mother" on it.

I think it's the thought that counts. Any gift that you give with your heart is the perfect gift for a Mother.

I used to give my mom homemade gifts for mother's day but I stopped doing that. Whenever she gets angry she always say that I only give her gifts to compensate for my wrong doings and then she'll break the gift I gave her. I'm human and I make mistakes sometimes, but she wouldn't understand that. She's too unreasonable.
