I have noticed in the last few days that there are a lot of negative things going on, what with scamming and death and I thought lets have a cheerup. Please list at least three things that you love about your Country or area where you live. I will list my three. 1. I love the beautiful mountains/Alps that glisten in the sunlight when I look out my door. 2. I love the rain when it falls after many hot days in the Summer. 3. I love the friendly people who welcome you into the neighbourhood regardless of race or creed. I could go on but I think three is enough. What are your three?

Hello kiwikidz! I will be glad to give you three things I love about our country. 1. We have the freedom to worship as we please. I am a Christian and I am very proud of that. Our country was founded on Christian principles and I know that things look bad right now, but I'm still thankful for a Godly nation! 2. I'm thankful to have a wonderful husband and two kids that I love very much and am very proud of. 3. I'm thankful for my church family. If you are not a Christian, I ask you to please give your heart to God. During the times that our country is going through right now with economic problems and violence getting worse all the time, it's good to know that God is still on his throne and is still in control, no matter how bad things get. God Bless You! SheliaLee

Thankyou, yes I am a Christian and have been for many years now, I remember the day after I gave my life to the Lord that everything was like looking at the world around me for the first time, green trees were greener, blue skys were bluer, and I saw things as positive and not negative, what a wonderful experience. I know what you mean about your country going through a rough time and violence increasing as we are experiencing very much the same and it is sad to see this happening. Keep the praying up over there and I will do so over here. God Bless you and yours.

Howe Sound Lookout Point. - This is the view from one of the lookout points at Cypress Mountain. It's about an hours hike, but the view is stunning at any time of day.
My three are definitely easy lol. 1. The Mountains. I could not live anywhere else. They are in my blood! 2. The Ocean. I love lazing on the beach of the ocean and listening to the waves swishing gently up on the shore whilst the mountains rise tall and craggy on one side of the bay. 3. The people. Canadians are amongst the friendliest people I've ever met. They will give you the shirt off their backs if it would help you.

I love your photo, its a very pretty scene. Have you ever considered writing poetry? because to be able to explain something and have the person actually feel what you are saying, to me seems like you should. It's great that the people are really friendly and supportive, they are around here too, its a small community and everybody just about knows everybody and the neighbours are great too.

Great discussion! The three things I love most about America are the freedom, the willingness to give second chances, and the history that so many of our forefathers left behind to provide us all with a legacy.

Thankyou for the response. I found it a great way to get to know people, and learn of different places you might not get to see. I find that there are a lot of different nationalities and cultures here. I like your "willing to give second chances", that is so important in our own lives because without it we go through life very bitter and angry. Forgiveness for you as a Nation must be very hard in light of all that has happened in the last few years. God Bless and have a great Easter.

Ok, here's my three things I love about the UK. 1. A full and rich history dating way back to the Stone Age 2. Stunning scenery and countryside 3. A huge diversity of people from all regions Oh dear that sounds a lot like a documentary on television, sorry. LOL I love the ancient stone circles we have, the beautiful coastline, the ancient woodlands and the vibrant cities. That sounds better.

Maybe you could make a documentary one day and show us all about your Country. I think that is what I love about mylot it has a lot of interesting people with interesting stories to tell.

I love Australia because of it's multiculturalism, Obviously being multicultural is a good thing, but my favorite thing about that is all the different kinds of food I can find. I love that Australians have their own unique way of life which is significantly different from even the US (Where I come from) I like the Australian people because they don't seem to be easily shaken as a whole. Even when they are they seem to start trying to figure out how to fix things, mourn them and get past them rather than thinking of how they're going to get revenge for them.

Thankyou for your response, I see that you have had the benefit of seeing different countries and different ways of life. It seems that most countries now have a lot of multiculturalism and that the world is a changing place, for us all. I agree that the Austrialians deal with their problems really quickly and without too much fuss, I think we in NZ are now having to learn how to deal with the same issues but only in a small way at the moment, I hope we can learn from others. I would love to visit Australia as I have a lot of family and friends over there.

Thanks raheel07 for your response. I see you like culture and art, the Maori people here have got a great cultural and artistic inheritance which we are getting to learn more about everyday, with the old cultures I think we learn from the past to give as a gift to the future.

three only ? :) ok, so here's mine. I live in the philippines and I absolutely love it here. 1. I love the people here, warm & friendly,hospitable-when you visit someone's house..they'll offer you the best, invite to dine with them and make sure you're comfortable. 2. I love our scenery and beaches..although have not been able to visit all of them. I think our country is very rich in Natural Resources. 3. I love the weather & climate, tho it can be pretty hot during summer it's still nice compare to climates of other countries, and if it's cold season-it is not too cold that you'd think you'll freeze..yeah just right.

I live in the desert, Roswell, New Mexico (USA). I moved here 3 years ago and so far I would say these are my favorite things: 1. I love the view of the mountains in the distance. 2. I love the lack of humidity! (I think this is my favorite thing) 3. I love learning about the culture of the Mexicans that I have met here!

Hi, thanks for the great response to my discussion. Just wondering is that the famous Roswell of tv fame? I see you said about the humidity, we have a medium humidity here but a very high UV factor which sometimes makes it hard to go out in the sun on really hot days.

The three things that i love about my country are: 1. the food- street food, restaurant food, homecooked food, native food... all of it 2. the availability of fresh fruits! mangoes to be exact, i heard that its kinda expensive in other countries. 3. lastly, i like the warmth of the people here, well some of them... =) actually, thats all i really could think of, a lot has been happening in my country lately since its election season and all... and I am kinda really depressed with regards to the corruption state of our country. I just hope things change soon for the better.

Thankyou for your response. The beaches that run right up the island besides where I live are I would say mainly virgin they don't have hotels and golden sands, but the scenery is absolutely spectacular, I must find a photo to post at some stage to show some of the beaches.

The three things that i love about my country is the freedom that we have to choose what we want to do with our lives, what careers we want to do, the friends we make, the foods we eat and more. I also love all the technology that has been created to make life easier on many of us and giving us the opportunity to make friends all around the world. I enjoy all the entertainment options that we have to keep us excited and busy and have fun. I definitely love nature as well as there are so many beautiful parks and waterfalls that we can enjoy.

Thankyou for your lovely response. I think your freedom and rights are the greatest things that you can have, but unfortunately that does not apply to all countries which is very sad, they don't have the freedom to enjoy the beauty and the everday things we take for granted as they are in survival mode for most of their lives. I have sponsored children from these countries and just to have water is a blessing.

Picture of St. Johns Newfoundland Canada - A picture of Newfoundland. This is the most easterly part of Canada.
I am from Canada. I live in Ontario but my heart will always be in the province I was born in Newfoundland. Three things about my country I love are: 1. our medical care is free so we never have to worry 2. when in Newfounland which is an Island, the air is so clean and fresh to smell. I love the ocean. 3. The people will go out of their way to make a stranger feel welcome in Newfoundland.

Thanks for your three comments, I am sorry I don't know too much about your beautiful Country but thanks to the internet I can see lots of photos and you have some really lovely mountains, I love to see the snow on mountains even though it is cold to climb them they make for beautiful photos or postcards. Great that you have free medical care as we do here also unless you go private and pay for it yourself, but I know what you mean about not having to worry about it. By the way I love the photo of the wee baby in red, she is georgous. My photo is my grandaughter and wee great grandaughter who now is two

I love the country air. I to have mountains I can look out and see. They are the rocky mountains. We have a good community where anyone in need is helped no guestions asked. And also great friends to go places with and do things with. I hope all people are happy with where they live, life is to short to hate where they come from or where they are.

Thanks for your response, I see a lot of people love the mountains, I have noticed even in my country when travelling that the mountains seem to look different for each part of the islands, we have real green mountains on one side of us and on the other those beautiful snowy ones, another district I visited had mountains that looked like they were a back drop and just painted on, have you noticed that in your country?
