Were there times when you are taking sides because that person is close to you even though you know that the other has reasons? Are you blinded of the situation?

I think if it is my kids I would be more inclined to do that. If it is a friend I try to be objective. If I totally disagree with the person I am close to I tend to disseminate rather than come right out and tell them they are wrong. Unless it's my husband. I tell him he's wrong all the time!

we really can't avoid to take sides but we have to be sure that we are doing the right way. for kids we must not to take sides, i mean for me, so they will not feel that the other are more loved....

Of course, I do take sides but not because I am friendly to one of the arguing parties. I go with the one who I think is reasonable. But I will not show or tell either of them that that one of them is right or wrong. I will try to explain to each other the points of their argument and let them decide for themselves.

There is always the tendency to take the side of the person with whom you are closer. But I generally have this habit of taking sides with what I feel is correct. So to avoid hurting the person I am close with, while supporting the other person, I try to reason with the other person why my friend was arguing in a particular. So that even if agree with the other person, I make the person whom I am closer with also not feel bad.

Sometimes you should take a side just to prove the other person that he or she is wrong. Some people are stubborn so they should learn a lesson or two.
