I have the worst credit. My younger years i racked up debt and then filed banrupcy with my ex hubby. I think that too many people live beyond thier means today. If i don't have the money i don't buy it. I hate monethly bills so we have the very minimum of these possible. I can see how people do it. We want too much we are so materialistic. Even in emergancies, i am glad i do not have a line of credit. We will survive, we always do. and we come out of it debt free! Dumb dumb dumb people. work work work spend spend spend. stop and live a minute!

AMEN! And, we are now trying to dig ourselves out of this hole! I am going to change a lot of things once our bills are paid. Well, we have actually changed a lot of things already. So, we are well on the way.

Good for you. It is funny how people insist that credit is a neccesity. It is not. What did the settlers do when they were in a bind? Get creative. Realize what you really need to survive. Make what you need. I live a very bare minimum life, but i don't think we suffer. My 14 yr old still gets to wear amacrombie (however you spell that bull) and aeropostale. It's called USED or clearance (whichever i come across first) yes it takes work to live this way but it almost becomes second nature and even a fun challenge to figure out how to get what you want on a "buy only what you need" budget. good luck with you finances chay!

If I want to buy something, I always think it over whether it is worth to buy or not. And consider also my financial condition. If it's OK, I buy, if not I postpone to buy something till my money condition allows. So i prefer to buy something in cash or by very limited credit card. I don't want to get distressed because of debt. Never.... never.... never...

credit can be a life saver at times. The problem with credit is disciplin and management. Its always hard for people to seperate want and need. TThe interests rates are way too high and most people tend to use more credit then what they really need. Its always better to be budget wise but its just too easy to get overloaded and over welmed...best thing is to live within your real means.
