The media has been reporting that several high end stores are selling coats trimed in "faux" fur. Faux fur is supposed to be of man amde material, hense fake fur. Unfortunately it has been discovered that some of these items are labeled faux when in fact it is dog fur. What do you think about this?

I think it is terrible to use dog fur for clothing. I think of dogs as pets and I guess that makes it hard for me to think of them as being part of my clothing.

Me too. I don't hav any problem wearing fur that is raised for the express purpose to make fur coats etc. Of course , I don't have a mink or chinchila coat.

Doggie fur coat - Doggie fur coat
I don't buy fur trimmed anything. I think it's wrong to kill and skin something simply for the purpose of fashion. I've heard that even if a garment says it's trimmed in, say, Angora, it can actually be dog or cat fur.

Gifts of fur can be tricky, especially if they are of sentimental value. My mom bought me a scarf made of rabbit fur a few years ago. I still have it but don't wear it often.

Depends on if I liked the coat or not.
