on a typical weekend, what is the very first thing that gets you out of bed in the morning? (i mean before you take that first step off of the bed) for me it is the birds chirping by my window or my daughters angelic face while shes sleeping. im a single mother of a 2 year old girl, and we are taking it easy for now. things are somewhat peaceful for us.

It has to be when my beautiful kitty cat, Lucky jumps up in the bed and nuzzles right up against me. It wakes me up, but I put my arms around her and her purring puts me back to sleep. She has to push up against me as hard as she can. LOL

ive used to have a kitty cat too when i was single. lol but he was annoying. she would always come up to me when i was lying in bed but sat on my torso with her tail on my face and her facing towards my legs. lol we had a love-hate relationship.

My mom's vacuum cleaner.. During weekends or holidays,i often wake up a bit late even my alarm clock cannot get me out of the bed. But my mom's vacuum cleaner...the sound is enough to make me fully wake up.

For me, it's my beautiful son, CJ. He gets up and comes into where I'm sleeping and says, "Good morning, mommy." He is so sweet. Even though he's Autistic and can't speak as well as other children his age at the moment, he just melts my heart every time he talks and says he loves me and daddy. Children are so precious!

I actually felt really happy for you when you wrote that. My kids are all grown up, but I always wake up with their faces in my mind and heart. Actually, my cat usually wakes me up, and now that the weather is warming up, I can leave my window open at night near where I sleep, and I can hear birds really early on. I live in the city, so I also hear traffic. My dream is to be out in the country, where I can hear "my chickens" early, and just birds, or cows mooing in the distance. Or the breeze blowing through the big trees near my house. For right now, my cat curls up next to me and starts purring, and that wakes me up, or he drops his beaded toy next to me, because he wants to play.

I'd have to say my cats. If my bedroom door is open, they'll be head butting my face, meowing for their breakfast. If my bedroom door is closed, they'll be head butting the door, trying to tell me that they want their breakfast.

Regardless of days-be it weekend or weekday, I need to get off of the bed at 7 in the morning because that is when I really need to pee. Call of nature has been incorporated in my system and schedule. It's very consistent. Perhaps because I grew up with it :)

Usually my children wake me up in the morning. I have a 3 year old that comes into my room when he wakes up. Then not soon after, my 8 month old wakes up.
