We've been married for almost 3 years now. Two years more to be out of the adjustment period boundary as they say. Everything comes in two faces: happy-sad, getting along-fighting, agreeing-disagreeing,etc. Does marrying someone from your race better than marrying someone not from your race?

although many people from different ethnic origin have been together for years, i still think that it's easier to marry someone from "your race".you tend to understand each other better, and to commnunicate better and to have a lot more in common.i dated a white english guy for 6 months and now i'm with my bf of 3 years who is black african like me and there's no comparison...

I married a foreigner too! He's from a foreign land called Mars, he's a Martian! Hehehe! I'm just kidding, but nonetheless, now that I'm separated from my husband, I can indeed say he's a foreig person... Anyways, let me address your topic (sorry for getting lost, hehehe). You see, no matter what the race or culture that married people have, they're still two different persons and no two persons are the same, everybody's unique. Thus, everybody needs to adjust him/herself to somebody else, especially married couples. But I do get your point, marrying a foreigner gravitates the difference. But I'm telling you honey, you can never say marrying someone from your own race is much better than marrying a foreigner, I married a Filipino and look what happened to me. I say, it's love and trust. No matter what the color of your skin is, if you both love and trust each other, your amrriage will survive... Hold on to your marriage, may God bless you... :D
