Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone out there can help me. My husband and I are saving money to buy our first home. We are hoping to start applying for a mortgage soon. What I'm wondering is if it's better to apply for a mortgage loan online with an internet banking company like ING who offers a bit of savings - or if it's best to go to our credit union or a mortgage company to apply?? Has anyone out there had any success getting a mortgage online, and if so, with which company? We want to save as much as possible, but i'm weary to apply online and deal with a computer versus sitting across a desk from a live body who can help answer our questions. Any advice, success stories, horror stories, etc that you can offer are greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

I would recommend Wells Fargo Mortgage Co. They are all over the place. I am currently doing business with them to buy our home that we have rented for the past 9 yrs. which I located them online. I know your not suppose to put links in here, but the web address is wellsfargo.com Good Luck & Happy Home Buying! ;)

If you are in job, its best to take loan from office. Second option, nationalized banks, third ...........any housing bank.

i think that it is better for u to find a lender in your area and get them to do the looking for u...that way you get to meet the person and get a feel for the company that u are doing business with..i make a point to do this with all my clients..plus via internet your info could be sold and i am quite sure u don't want to be solited all day over the phone. because once u put the info on there it stays there..
