How Sad Is It When Your Kids Can Say I Remember When

Every time my kids go with to get gas, they always say I remember when gas was less than a dollar a gallon. This always makes me laugh because they are only 13 and 11 and it wasn't all that many years ago either. Now gas prices are on a fast rise again. It's enough to drive you insane.

I remember when I was a kid and it was only about 50 cent a gallon. It is 2.29 here. What is it there?

That is funny! Gas prices are not! Did you know that oil companies are showing RECORD profits right now and have been. When I say record profits, I don't just mean for oil companies, I mean for any kind of company. That is sad. I'm thinking of buying a hybrid. What is even more sad is there is nothing we can do about it. We need it.

No gas prices are not and both my vehicles have a 20 gallon tank and bigger. I wouldn't mind a hybrid but the up keep expenses on them are exspensive. My dad has one. I just don't go anywhere unless I have to. If people stuck to doing that eventually the oil companies would feel it. I am not talking about people who have to drive back and forth to work. But people who have nothing better to do but to drive around all day.

Boy wouldn't that be nice $2 to take my family to the movies. I'd rather spend theat $100 going to the beach for the day or camping for the weekend

Ha ha ha - I know exactly what you mean Marie - my 5 year old is always saying I remember a lot of years ago so and so happened - it is quite comical when you think about it isn't it - almost like a 21 yr old telling a 90 tear old they feel old!!!!!!

And that 90 year old probably feels a whole lot younger than that 21 year old realizes lol. It is comical to hear kids and their remember when stories
