I don't smoke , but I have an uncle who used to smoke 10 packets a day and he has given up now.I was very surprised that he didn't find it difficult to give up smoking.I once read that doctors comprise the biggest population of smokers and they take to smoking when they have to stay up at nights to learn their medical lessons. Can't say if it's true ,but if it is ,then I don't understand why they would continue even after knowing the downside.

I am just under 20 and i never thought of smoking..but i know well about it and it's side effects. My dad is a smoker and i have told him many times to give up smopking..but he never did that. I think the best way to be away from smoking is to chew a bubble or a chewing gum and stop thinking about smoking...that's it. But why on helll do these smokers waste money on such a worst thing??

Nope, didnt quit yet but i've had various talks/expiiences with ex or wannaby ex smokers. a synopsis of usefull tips/opinions about quitting smoking would include:1.Willpower.Its the most basic thing you need to accomplish the target set. 2.a LOT of water. 3.vegetables help.antioxidants like broccoli especially. 4.nicotine gum mostly for psychological reasons 5.something to keep your hands busy.Worry beads a chaplet or a a koboloi is usually efficient. 6.take it one day at a time.
