Does anyone know of any free spell checker? I had one downloaded and my computer messed up and now I think that I might have erased it. Do you know of any good ones that I can use to help me write better?

Also, most email places do it too. You could always "rough draft" as an email, then spell check and then copy/paste it into a doc. If you're using Microsoft Works, it should already have spellcheck.

I never thought about using the one in my email account. I can see how this would work. thanks for the help, MsJessi.

What word processing software do you use? My recommendation would be to use the free office suite that Open Office offers (http://www.openoffice.org/) - this is freeware, and no there are no time limits to its usage. Their word processor comes with a good speel checker. Check it out if you haven't done so already. It is worth the effort.

thanks for the hook up. I appreciate it. I am trying to work on my spelling and grammer. I am a writer who can't write worth a flip unless I have a spell checker.
