Free To Host Websites.

Are there any? and if so, do you have one and how many pages are there allowed for free. I would be interested to find out because if they allow it could they just stop you using them after a certain time? I would not like to start one with all the work involved if they have to power just to switch you off anytime.

There are many free hosting sites out there; Bravenet.com has one so does, tripod.com and angelfire.com. Yes they can shut you off at any time, if they feel you violated their terms of service. I would suggest if you do free that you make sure you keep a back up of your site on your computer at all times. That way you don't have to worry. You can always upload it to another hosting service if need be. Most go by size not pages. It's by so many MB's. I would shop around to see what has the best things for you. Do a search for "free web hosting" and leave the quotes in. That narrows the search a lot better.
