Lance Briggs hold out

I understand Lance Briggs getting upset about the franchise tag put on him. That being said I find it intersting that he would be so vocal about his unhappiness and jeopordize the bears ability to trade him. He shot himself in the foot by doing that. I want him to stay, I think he is great but i have to say that you cant react that way and expect other teams to take the risk. He has lowered his own value by doing this. What does everyone think? Will he play? Do the stats of franchise tagged players never missing a regular season game apply? Will he take out a loan and sit out all next season? What do you think the bears should do?

He has to play Six games to get about 6.0 Million because 6 games is considered a season. If he sits the whole season he only gets 3.2 Mil. What do you thinks the better deal? I just dont understand why ppl dont play the games for the love of the game anymore its all about the MONEY!!! Money Hungry... I think they should trade him for someone like Shelton Quarles from Tampa!!! Or Karlos Dansby!!! Someone Durable that wont cry like a baby!!! So I don't know what Lovie is doing. :) Hope he makes the right choices!!! Zack

If someone doesn't want to be on the team, I say you get rid of him. It's a shame that some of these NFL players have egos like this, and try to yank around coaches, owners, etc.. but I guess it's all part of the "business"
