Something Odd...

Happened to me during a search last night.
I was doing a search on sewage system repair. And all of a sudden the chat box had lots of cuss words in it... by Guide!!!I most certainly was not cussing at my info seeker, so my question is, what happened? How did someone get into my search and start cussing. It had to be the info seeker, because they thought it was funny and the cussing had to do with sewage(and what is in sewage, gross, I know)
Ever happen to anyone else? Is there anyway to stop ths from happening?

Just can't understand what goes wrong, did you use Chat Box for information on Sewage System Repair!!! There are search engines for providing you information. But if the Chat Box pops up all by itself then this may be due to some Adware...Anyway, it has never happened with me.

Sounds sort of odd. I have not yet had anything like that happen to me on ChaCha. However, I have gotten a lot of pranksters. Some of them are pretty nice and actually want to search, while others are just completely not nice, and I promptly report them.

No one hacked into your chat, if you had looked closer at what it said you would see that it is warning you, not saying you said it. If you take a look in the official forum there is info on it.

This happened to me two times, I posted it on the official forum because I also thought that somehow the IS entered my side of the application. A Moderator told me that there is no need to worry because this is just a warning for us. If the IS types vulgar words they are not displayed directly but Chacha sends this warning that appears as something typed by us. Kind of weird, it really scared me when it happened the first time, because I didn't know whats going on.

It scared me, glad it is chacha protecting us and not someone messing around.
