I joined myLot for two weeks now. And I have seen so many member for the sake of it (or for the sake of posting count) just simply post a topic and don't reply back. And at the end of the day, the post just stayed with a single response and no followup from the original poster. Is this ethical or is everybody ok with this ?

There may be several reasons for this. First, if a person gets a lot of replies to a discussion, it may take awhile to catch up with replying to the responses. I've taken several days to catch up with some of mine. If someone starts a lot of discussions, etc., they may lose track of which ones they have and have not responded to. Second. Responding to a posted reply does not count on your count total (the one in the parentheses), so some people may not want to take the time to do it. I don't know if it affects the pay or not. Third. Some people are just interested in seeing how many discussions they can start and how many replies they can get, so they don't take the time to respond to posts. Fourth. Some people are just thoughtless and don't realize it is the polite thing to do. Not everybody is ok with the lack of response. I'm not and I try to reply to everyone who posted on my discussions. Do what feels right to you.

Your second pointer is worrying. If that is so, then most members will just post and don't bother to reply. And if this is true then the trend is that there will be more questions than answers. Cheers

Ok..I agree with sinyem on the second part. Does anybody here read through the T&C? Is there anything being mentioned on the posting and responding? Is both counted or only posting being counted in? Worry....worry.....

Thanks for your response. I personally find it impolite of those that did not reply to responses to their own topic. If everyone behave like that then myLot will be flooded with questions without response. cheers

I was going to reply, but I think the above poster got it down pretty well.
