how do you think spring training is going? I am impressed, like most people, about the pitching situation. I can not believe we are this far along with our pitchers. It may be the first time in quite a few years we'll have firm starters in place when the team leaves Flordia. But I am concerned about Edmonds. Your thoughts?

Well, I am a Cubs fan, the arch rivals of the St. Louis Cardinals. I have a friend who lives in St. Louis and she is an avid Cardinals fan. So I am not concerned about Edmonds, I am concerned about Cubs pitcher Mark Prior. It seems he has lost his speed. I guess we will just have to see how the year goes. By the way, congratulations on the Cardinals World Series win! I was rooting for them because I didn't want the Tigers to win

the Cubs/Cards rivalry is the best in sports as far as I'm concerned. I guess it was appropriate we won the pennant in Chicago this past year. good luck....the Cubs will win sometime.

I know nothing about pitchers but Im glad spring training is here. I like going to the baseball games. Sometimes I watch them on tv with my husband.

I am an avid baseball fan! My favorite teams are the 'dreaded' Yankees and the World Champ, St. Louis Cardinals. Jim Edmonds has been a concern to me for quite some time. When his hitting has been lacking, they at least had his defense. Now, with his arm, we don't know how he'll do. As for the Yankees, I better see something good out of Carl Pavano (like I can do anything to him if he doesn't excel). I'm also anxious to see my man Andy Pettite back in uniform for my team.

Thanks. But I wouldn't be heartbroken to see the Champs repeat. My family and I love the Cards. I was so excited to see David Eckstein get the World Series MVP!

I am blessed to be living in Tucson, where there are three teans training. I'm going out to see the D'Backs play this weekend (they're my favorite). With Webb and Johnson at the top of the rotation, and with all that young talent, they have a good chance to take the NL West this year.
