Hi all my Husband has High cholesterol, his body produces too much. So I cook pretty much everynight of the week. We eat a lot of chicken and I like to switch it up once a week with a new recipe . If anyone has one they could share I'd love to give it a try, thanks in advance, Fran

Honey Baked Chicken INGREDIENTS 1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup prepared mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon curry powder DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place chicken pieces in a shallow baking pan, skin side up. Combine the melted butter or margarine, honey, mustard, salt and curry powder and pour the mixture over the chicken. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours (75 minutes), basting every 15 minutes with pan drippings, until the chicken is nicely browned and tender and the juices run clear. Enjoy!!

since your Husband has High cholesterol have you thought about changing his diet to a plant based diet. A plant based diest has none of the bad clorestal. You mighttry cutting back on the meat and useing some vegetarian recipes. There is a very good special K or cottage cheese loaf that is posted on another discussion. Try some meat subsatutes. Morning star has some good meal startes that simulate meat very well. They have both chicken and beef. They would be woth a try if you are getting tire of chicken.

Thank you for the advice, I've tried everything. He has changed his diet drastically. His body produces too much cholesterol and even with the medication, its hard to keep his numbers down. He also is hard to convince to try new things, We hardly ever eat red meat, so chicken and fish is his game. He enjoys chicken more than the fish so I'm always looking for alternatives to try. Thanks again for your response, FranMc
