Hi there, i cud see that the majority of communities in orkut, that are meant to be meaningful and not for jest are going meaningless, ppl create a community and they just leave it just like that, the only thing they do is send out invitations for others to join, i have seen communities where over a 100 ppl join, but no one responds to the topics in them its really a waste to have such communities, right.I too have 2 communities this way, but then im havoing them for the sole purpose of finding friends.suppose an old school mate comes and he doesnt know u r in orkut, so he just searches for his school name and he ends up in a community owned by u or wer u r a member already, theres a place ofr reunion, i think other than that there is no use opening useless communities and leaving them as such.

Read the theme of the community in the intro, if it perfectly matches ur interests and u r in complete agreement with the owner's views, u can carry on and join it. Communities can be created, so if there is no community that matches ur interests, then go forward, create one, u will be the boss :-)
