I guess the first lesson should be a healthy diet, followed strictly and reasonably. If we build some awareness among children about healthy eating habits, obesity can be effectively be fought against. There should also be a promotion of healthy exercise habitsa, like walking, swimming or even cycling, depending on the gender and age of the person.

Hello aso123, I think common sense should be applied when a person is slowly but surely trying to lose wieght. I know the more I deny myself with something I really want, the more I want it. I read somehwere it is okay to have a slice of chocolate cake every now and then. It's not a sin. It can be dangerous to deny yourself completely, partially because your body has acclimatized to that type of food. I say slowly but surely increase the amount of healthy food, while simultaneously decreasing the not-so-healthy food. I would go talk to a dietician for advice, because everyone's body chemistry is different. Hence, not everyone can survive on strict diets that don't work in real life.
