So what's the highest offer you've gotten?

For the longest time (nearly 2 years), my highest offer was on the first article I ever wrote... for $15. Nearly 2 years after that offer, I got one for $15 and something cents and was quite pleased with myself. Today, I was ecstatic when I saw my new highest offer (and I think, the highest one possible)... $50! I couldn't believe my eyes! If I hadn't heard about it happening before through MyLot, I would have been even more in shock. It's nice to write something really good and not just get $8 or $10. Even though all the little articles add up.

my first one was my best paid so far and it was a little over 6. but i just cant seem to get very many people to read my articles yet, im not sure if its because im so new or if its because i suck at writing. even if i suck i still love writing so i'll continue until someone makes me stop.

At first I didn't know how many page views I was getting, but it didn't seem like page views have really ever affected the offers (except that, if they anticipate that that particular article will have many page views, they'll give a better offer). Maybe it depends on the topics a bit too. I've had some under $6, mostly about fundraising and stuff.

Some on health concerns seem to do well, while others don't. I wrote one on amblyopia (lazy eye) and I think it got $13. But less common conditions don't seem to go for much.

For Associated Content. Anyone can write on there, about several different topics. I really love writing there because it's an easy way to get extra money relatively fast when I need it. Here's a link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=1007

Congrats on the $50 offer. I need to get to writing some articles so I can hopefully get some of those offers. I have been away for a while, but with the higher offers, and the bonus program I think it is time to get back to it. My highest offer so far is $10 and I was pretty happy with that.

I tend to write off and on. I'll stop for a few months, then write like crazy. Right now I'm writing more than usual because I really want to save up for a DSLR. By the way, incase anyone was wondering. This is the article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/170349/a_lesbian_daughters_plea_to_parents.html

$14 was my highest offer. I have never heard of one for $50 either. That is great. Congratulation. Why don't you share the url after it is published so we can all go read it. I often get nice comments from the editors about how they would like to offer me more but can't because I didn't offer the article as an exclusive submission. Even if I get less, I never like to sell all rights. Who knows, I might want to use my article in an e-book someday and if I have sold it for exclusive use, it doesn't belong to me any more.

Wow, $14 for non-exclusive is pretty good! I never offer my photos for exclusive use on sites, because I may use them. But I don't plan to do anything with my writing that's on AC. If I write a book someday, I'll use new material. Sorry, I should have waited to post so that I could have posted the link at the top.

Sorry, I see that you have already shared the URL. I didn't read all the other comments before writing mine.

The highest I've received so far from AC is $8.24, but that I've only been a member a couple weeks...and I've only submitted 4 exclusive articles. I received almost that much for a non-exclusive, so maybe it would have made over $10. Anyway, congrats on your $50 article! That's unheard of on AC, but looking at it, you deserved it. It was long, personal, and well-written. The most I've made on one article was $30 at CC...I've seen articles sell there for over $500, but they must be VERY long. I haven't written anything over 1000 words yet.

Thanks! I've been a member for about 2 years now. I always submit mine exclusive, because I haven't found another site that I'd want to submit them to. If I ever get around to writing a book, I figure I'll use fresh new material anyway.

Sorry, I'm just a little bit confused.. are we talking about the highest offer here in myLot? Do we get higher offers if we write articles that are more profound, meaningful and useful? Sorry, I'm just new here.

No, not on MyLot. On AssociatedContent (this is posted in the AC interest). MyLot earnings are based on some algorithm, not actually based on people reading what you write, so it doesn't seem to matter if you're being profound or not.

The most I've ever been offered was $10; I've heard that they sometimes offer good rates for articles they plan to feature or think are particularly timely. Congratulations. Hopefully someday I'll be able to hit that mark. For now, I just keep trudging along. Hey, all writing is good practice towards making us better writers, right?

Definitely. That's what I always hope for, that at the very least, all this writing is good practice for me. It's funny because articles I've had featured, a couple of those were $4 articles! But the $50 one is not currently on the featured page.

Congrats Pigglies! I've not really submitted any"original" articles yet. Meaning, I get tons of press releases and re-writing them is A-OK by me for a few bucks.

I got an offer just last night for my highest article so far. It was $13.28. It was an article about whether or not you can afford to be a stay at home mom. It was a nice surprise getting that offer. I didn't have to do any research at all to write the article. It was all about how I decided what was best for me.

Very cool! Always nice when you don't have to do any research. Or nice if the research is easy because it's stuff you know so well.
