One Thing After Another

One Thing After Another - Is Life One Thing After Another?

Recently, I realized that many myLot friends post a series of discussions one immediately after another, some even along the same line of thoughts. I am not complaining. Neither am I pinpointing at anyone. It just makes me think. Is this also how we live our life? Doing one thing after another day in day out, so habitually, so routine the 7 essential habits: Wake up, Breakfast, Work, Lunch, Work, Dinner, Sleep. Is life just about eat, work and sleep after waking up? Or there are more to it? Is your everyday a daily routine? Or is your everyday a different day? What is your day like? How is your day today?

My everyday life is basically the same, whyaskq. I always make a timetable for each day. I'm always doing a lot things and moving from one place to another place. There will be days that I'm going to sneak in a few hours with my friends. Travelling and leisure time with family usually fall on holidays or summer vacation. It can be boring at times. But we learn to deal with it.

Yur thoughts are meaningful but mostly we r living the same life nobody tries to change his routine as it concerns about mylot topics i think mylot should annouce the topics for the day or for the week and then pepoles have to speak about them this could create a change in mylot but in our real lifes its quite difficult to change becoz today our life is commercial and everyone needs money for more money we have to work more and more so we are selling ourselves for money our time our life its true 10000% true

Perhaps myLot could have a "Topic for the Day" or "Topic for the Week" award. It will make myLot more interesting and challenging. Good idea! You can suggest to myLot. Friend, health is 100000% more important than money :P

There are many more things in life to enjoy than those basic survival items. What about friends, trust, faith, love, etc...

If you ask a spiritual prson they claim the whole life is an drama and we are actor choosen for to act particular character. If this is true then it is routine affair everyday, though we find everyday to be different.

Your discussion really made me to think and guess about yourself as well. You have asked so many things inter related with each other. Good to see your nice observation. Yes, off course I have seen many discussions in sequence by one person. What does it reflect? Having an open forum to discuss, people sometimes try to put all the ideas in black & white. What I suggest is that before starting the discussion, some homework must have been done. That sort of sequence discussions could also be a result of good homework before starting the myLot?

I feel sad to say that most of the days are like that for me. Maybe lunch and dinner locations change, fine dining to bristols to fast food. Weekends are definitely not like that. But seriously most parts are the same routine. Wonder who's life is very different everyday.

Mostly my week days are same. We try to do different in weekend. But in weekdays there is no way actually to make a day different every day, I think. We all just stick to a routine. We all have to do work, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. But in weekend at least we have a choice to eat at different time or in different places. And also in a year for some days we can go for a totally diferent life, when we are in a cacation.

every day is different for me , I have given up planning my next day in advance , my parents both have Alzheimer's and still live in their own home and we often plan something but then they might not feel up to it or have forgotten , so now we just try to take every day as it comes , don't get me wrong though we have fun some days it is not all doom and gloom , sometimes it is better to take each day as it comes xx

I find it to be true, unless we consciously make an effort to break the pattern.I dislike very few things and boredom is one of them. When I feel bored,I try to do something out of the ordinary even if it is completely foreign to me.Whenever I feel I am meaninglessly walking in circles ,I try to learn something new.I start very few discussions.I have been trying to change that and hoping for the best. As for Mylot, I consider two factors while responding to discussions.1st Whether it's from one of my friends discussions. 2nd Whether it fascinates me and gets me thinking differently. Once I am done answering to friend's discussions,I try to address the hunger for imagination.Everyday, some of my friends come up with one of a kind discussion. So,if I can address these two factors, I feel fresh by the time I end my day. There are the odd days when I am blank and even the great discussions can't inspire me.

My daily routine is more or less the same every day except maybe at weekends. I might decide out of the blue to do something different, like, take off somewhere and have dinner and spend the night at a hote. As regards people posting series of discussions, some of my friends do that. I don't get annoyed about it, I just answer the sensible ones and pass over the rest. I try not to ignore friends discussions but sometimes it is inevitable.

I've noticed that too among myLot friends. This is the reason why I turned off the notifications because my mail gets clogged with discussions, aside from the fact that a lot of them are, you're right, bearing the same line of thought (some even coming from the same poster). I don't really care about responding to all, as I never cared if my friends would always respond to my discussions. Even so, I never deleted any friend, and still accept all other friends (I never invited any friend anyway). This is because, in relation to your next question, of my busy life that myLot concerns are just for me, "a needle in a haystack". My daily life is a routine for the reason that I'm a teacher. I try to make my lessons interesting, though, and I always believe that my students make my everyday life interesting. Today is a Saturday so I can respond to discussions here. Every Saturday is a rest day. I decided to stay home than watch a movie (which is an alternative activity) every weekend. Have a great weekend and enjoy life!

Thanks for responding, Sir! Glad to share that I have added you as one count to my statistics data - interesting and enjoyable life. It's precisely because life is busy that I make use of email notifications to respond to friends' disucssions instead of me finding the needle in the haysack.
