When you see a discussion does it put you off a bit if its too long? I mean do you get half way and this 'forget it'? I personally dont, cause I think it must be good if the person took the time to write all that. lol, it would be silly if it were have a page if jiberish you know... So does it put you off if its too long?

Nope it doesn't put me off. In fact I personally like the long posts. I will respond to any discussion that I can add to. So long as I have knowledge f the topic and can say something different than everyone else then I respond regardless how long it is. Most of my discussions are long, LOL. Welcome to mylot your about to get your star congratulations! :)

The colors correspond with the numbers in the stars. The stars are the mylot reputation. How other members perceive you. The numbers range from 1 through 10, 10 being the highest. :) Hope that helps, :)

What mylot suggest about the upcoming discussions or the responses is "be descriptive and precise!". Yes, it right that sometimes one gets bored after having too long discussion topic if and only if the topic is boring and / or the lengthy discussion looses its interest after a paragraph. But I do have an experience of having gone through discussion of a certain paragraph. But, depending upon the nature of subject it was necessary to prolong the over all matter. I was surprised that abot 30 responses were there. What would you suggest about those people who responded that one? Surely not all of them were mad! If a topic is rich enough, I must appreciate the starter.

i'm not sure what type of discussion it may have been, but it must have been interesting or debatable to have so many responses

I too shall take the interest in reading any detailed response written by user. Provided it starts with some magnetic pull to read further and contains some useful information then I shall definitly read it even i shall read it twice if found worth. Most of the time users use or adopt the copy paste method just to elongate the discussion from earning point of view and in such cases the writting slowly looses it's grip over we readers. Wish you the same interest in mylot all the time.

Thats good to know. I'm like that too. Sometimes i want to read i more because it is long. And i am guessing that it must be good most of the time just by seeing how long it is.
