What represents the satr next to our name?!

Hi guys ! I haven't posted here for some time . Now I am back in business !! But I see a star with 7,8,9 and so on nextto our names . Could anyone say what it is? It seems there have been new things happening on Mylot..

You have a nine number on your star, which means that the quality of your posts are excellent, if you try you can make the perfect 10. It means the quality of your posts, nice way of rating and encouraging people to post good stuff.

i have the same number like you do, since this is just a game of numbers, but i think a lot of people will border about what's number showing on top of them. but, by using numbering for represent a person reputation... have you come across by choosing discussions based on the star rating.?

No I don't choose discussions based on stars but on the content and topic. If I feel I have something to contribute in that topic I answer them, not just to increase the number of my posts or rating.

i've been with mylot for a week now. from what i learned, the star is the mylot reputation. it's a rating for the quality of the responses you post as well as topics you started. that also qualifies for a percentage. you have a 9, and when you place the mouse over your star, it gives you 90/100. that means based on 100 posts, 90 of them are rated (+) positively.

no wonder my earning seem to be no compatible with my posting..i got a silver star.? 7 rating on it. maybe i am too critilisym when giving people feedback... i hope i can improve my reputation in mylot!!!

By now, you would learnt a lot and would have undersood what are 'Stars', as you already have a 'red' star.
