whats the name of that pastry?

i'm not really sure if we could call it cake, but never mind, i'll stick with pastry.. hehehe.. i wanted to make that pastry where you use Graham biscuits, place it side by side in a nice tray, pour over a layer of cream, then place another batch of biscuits over the cream, then another layer of cream, then biscuits, then top it with peaches (or mangoes if you prefer). and then put it in the fridge. anybody know the name? thanx! c",)

a.k.a REFRIGERATOR CAKE/ REF CAKE.... the real tiramisu is made of other type of biscuit (not graham) but the graham type is called ref cake.... (my stomach's grumbling... )

if im not mistaken everyone called that pastry as "crema de fruta"...

naaaahh.. crema de fruta is much different from mango float and tiramisu. its more like a cake. trivia: did you know that its smaller version is called "hijo de fruta"? c",) hahaha...

My mom used to call it "Icebox Cake". She made it with pudding (chocolate is especially good), and would sometimes add bananas. You make the layers and then put it in the fridge over night. It's so simple, but so awesome. You know....I haven't had it in ages, but I think I might need to make it again soon!

That sounds like a variant on Zebra cake. The one with chocolate wafers set on end with whipped cream between them. But I've never heard of your version before

hahaha.. maybe its only made here in the Philippines. filipinos are quite experimental with food. hahaha.. the chocolate wafers/whipped cream actually is another version. maybe they're related. c",) hmmm... zebra cake... i'm not really sure on the name. but i think i like the idea of chocolate wafer/whipped cream, then topped by apples.. whaddaya say?
