Do you believe in a life before, in another place, as another person?

I have seen lately some documentary on TV and I have read about a lot of people finding out that they have lived in the past, in another life as other persons and today they feel it and visiting some places the seem very familiar to them. In those documentary some persons where exposed to hypnose and sent very much back in the past. They started to say about what they see there, where it was and what they have been, describing with details. After such a sesion, when the doctor (for hypnose) noticed for them everything, they started the research and most of the things they told under hypnose were found out to be true. They then visited the specific places and had strange feelings, knew the places, though never visited before and the descriptions they made fitted exactly. It seemed to be all very realistic and I keep thinking if it can be something true and what could the explanation be. How can people explain deja-vu's and so? Do you believe in such things? Have you had such thoughts and feelings? Do you feel attracted and familiar to places you never visited before?

I think I know that hypnosis thing. When I was in high school a friend tried it to other friends, I was there watching, I was kind of scared so I didn't try it. There was some kind of spell or words that this friend of mine mentioned and the other friends fell asleep. It was not for long though and when they woke up they were telling about things they've seen, it was like a dream and they said that it was there life before. It's like what we call "reincarnation". Scary huh? =) I wasn't able to try it, so I partly believe them.

Everything in the universe if made up of atoms (i.e., dust). The chances of those atoms scattering and then naturally rematerializing as another human being is about the same as snow on the moon. On the other hand, if you're Christian/Jewish/Muslim, then you believe you have an eternal soul. But then, you also believe that there is no such thing as reincarnation. And if you believe in transmigration of souls (i.e., you're Hindu), then also believe that your chances of coming back as a human is about the same as coming back as a c*ckroach in the next life depending on what you did in this life. Of course, if you're New Age-y, then I suppose you can pick and choose whichever parts of different religions and philosophies suit your own needs without really having a basis for it.

I will never believe in this. I believe that we are given only one shot at life. So we must do our best now to be righteous and take extra care of our spirituality so can be worthy of God at all times.
