Irony of Time & Money....

When we are young, we are always thinking about what are the things we want to do...but we have no money to fufil most of our wishes. When we grow up, we are financially stronger which should be good news. But you know what? Now we will complain that we have not enough time. What a great irony. How can we get both time and money?

You can't have both. You have to make a choice. Most people choose to work hard for 40 years in order to buy a house... have children... and save some money for their retirement. When they reach 60... they can retire in the knowledge that they have enough money to live comfortably without having to work. However... they have missed out on life. At 60 you can't (and you don't won't to) do the things you could have done in your twenties or even thirties. The other way is not to have any children... and work and play. You spend your money as fast as you are making it and enjoy yourself. This can actually work... providing you keep a balance between work and play and don't live beyond your means. However... the consequences of this... is that when you reach 60... you will have nothing to retire on. You had 40 years of fun... and now it is "Welcome to the hard times". Question is... For how long will you live? 60 year old men are dropping like flies from heart attacks. It is a gamble you have to take... not an easy one. Work for 40 years in the hope that you will live until 90... or save nothing on the chance that you will die at 60.

That's true. I guess somehow we have to find a balance between the two.
